Who We Are
Applied Designs Woodworking is the product of a lifetime in the craft. Five decades of woodworking and design work inform every piece we build, covering material selection, joinery, finishing systems, and the design thinking required to translate a client’s brand into a physical product.
A business brings us a logo, a brand standard, and a goal. We bring the experience to determine the right material, the right finish, and the right construction method for a product that earns its place on a client’s desk or in their display space. The design decisions are as important as the woodworking, and we have spent a career developing both.
How We Build
Materials matter to the final product, and we choose them accordingly. We work in genuine American hardwoods and quality imported lumber, finished with petroleum or waterborne lacquer systems selected for each specific application. High quality workmanship for appearance and longevity are our standards. Those standards hold whether we are building a branded countertop display or an engraved recognition award.
Our finish expertise extends to precision color matching for insurance claims, where exact replication of an existing color and sheen is required. That level of finish control carries through to every piece, not just specialty work.
Our Purpose
Applied Designs is not a cabinet shop, a furniture builder, or a construction carpentry operation. We do not compete with marketplace sellers on price for imported material.
We build custom wood products that serve our clients’ businesses. Every item we create exists to strengthen a brand, recognize achievement, or put something real and well-crafted in front of your customers. We are here to generate business sales for our clients through what we build. That is the work, and it is the reason this shop exists.
